Very expected game when 12th ranked Visby (2-16) was smashed by fourth ranked AIK Basket (12-6) in Solna 92-59 on Saturday. AIK Basket made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Visby turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Tiffany Brown (168-1986, college: Georgia South) who scored that evening 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian swingman Madison Torresin (183-1996, college: W.Chester) supported her with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) by Czech point guard Nela Netkova (194-2004) did not help to save the game for Visby. Forward Tilda Lundgren (177-2003) added 12 points for the guests. AIK Basket maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Visby lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost. AIK Basket will meet Ostersund (#5) on the road in the next round. Visby will play against the league's leader Lulea Basket (#1) and hope to secure a win.
