Important game to mention about took place in Ankara. Sixteenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (3-7) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Mamak DSI (4-6) 84-81 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mamak DSI. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 29-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American point guard Phil Greene IV (187-92, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. Center Metehan Akyel (206-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Ali Kavaklioglu (186-86) added 7 points and 12 assists in the effort for Mamak DSI. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bandirma Kir. moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Final Genclik and Meliksah. Loser Mamak DSI dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Bandirma Kir. will face higher ranked Gediz (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
