Regular Season Round 28: Eskisehir Basket - Acibadem 108-106

Sixth-ranked Acibadem (18-10) was very close to win a game against first ranked Eskisehir Basket (23-5) in Edirne on Saturday. Eskisehir Basket managed to secure only two-point victory 108-106. However their fans expected much easier game. Eskisehir Basket made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Acibadem helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Bugrahan Tuncer contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists for the winners. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals and the former international guard Can Altintig (195-87) added 25 points and 8 assists in the effort for Acibadem. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Acibadem's coach Serhan Aydanarig rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eskisehir Basket maintains first position with 23-5 record. Acibadem at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Istanbulspor. Eskisehir Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Muglaorman (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Acibadem will play against Yalova Bld (#13) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
