Mersin G. used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Mersin 73-70 on Saturday night. Mersin G. forced 22 Mersin Secil turnovers. Forward Aysenaz Harma (184-2007) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Eslem Guler (180-2006) accounted for 19 points. Four Mersin G. players scored in double figures. American center Kurstyn Harden (190-2000, college: SF Austin) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds (made all of her thirteen free throws !!!) and Elif Ayhan (-2001) added 8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for Mersin Secil in the defeat. Mersin G. will meet at home Kirklareli in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mersin Secil will play against Turgutlu in Manisa and hope to win that game.
