There was a surprise result when tenth rankedUrla (2-2) outplayed higher ranked Kirklareli (3-1) in Izmir 86-66 on Friday. Urla forced 20 Kirklareli turnovers. Strangely Kirklareli outrebounded Urla 37-22 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Keiunna Walker (168-2000, college: La Tech) who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and Misra Albayrak (178-2000) supported her with 26 points. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Kirklareli . Guard Erdenay Topcu (170-2000) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Urla moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Emlak 2 and Mersin Secil. Newly promoted Kirklareli dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with 6 other teams.
