TED Ankara can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Balikesir BBS (1-3) 84-73 on Saturday. TED Ankara dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Balikesir BBS 's 30. TED Ankara looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Berkay Genc (205-1996) who added 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Umit Sonkol (206-1982, agency: BIG) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Luwane Pipkins (179-1996, college: Providence) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TED Ankara left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Balikesir BBS . It was Balikesir BBS 's third loss in a row.
