Very expected game when 10th rankedEmlak 2 (2-3) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Canakkale (4-1) 73-67 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Canakkale forced 27 Emlak 2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Mary Baskerville (190-2000, college: Quinnipiac) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Swedish guard Maryam Gultekin (166-1990) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Point guard Ceren Akpinar (175-2005) produced 28 points and 5 assists and Iclal Duranoglu (-2003) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Emlak 2's coach Anil Aydin tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Canakkale moved-up to second place, which they share with Turgutlu and Kirklareli. Loser Emlak 2 keeps the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Urla and Edirne.
