Everything went according to plan in Ankara where fourth rankedKirklareli (4-1) beat bottom-ranked Cankaya (0-5) 80-72 on Sunday. Kirklareli forced 24 Cankaya turnovers and outrebounded them 49-25 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Erdenay Topcu (170-2000) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Kirklareli players scored in double figures. Sule Aktas (-1998) produced 20 points and 4 steals and Irem Akat (-2001) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Cankaya's coach Cagri Ozek tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kirklareli moved-up to second place, which they share with Canakkale and Turgutlu. Cankaya lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Gallardo.
