There was no surprise when 15th rankedBalikesir BBS (5-8) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Bodrum (6-6) 99-95 on Sunday. Cagdas BS looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and swingman Burak Erol (197-1988) chipped in 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 12 assists and swingman Omercan Engin (198-1998) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Balikesir BBS's coach Ahmet Gurgen tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cagdas BS moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Haremspor. Loser Balikesir BBS keeps the fifteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Gaziantep and Ormanspor.
