Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedCanakkale (11-3) beat at home 7th ranked Mersin Secil (7-7) 86-69 on Saturday. Canakkale had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Mary Baskerville (190-2000, college: Quinnipiac) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Cansu Oncel (-1999) chipped in 26 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Canakkale players scored in double figures.
