The most exciting game of round 17 in the TBL took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th rankedCayirova (10-7) to seventh ranked TED Ankara (10-7) 73-72 in the game for the fifth place. TED Ankara made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Berkay Genc (205-1996) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) answered with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Mehmet Oguzhan Kizil (-1996) added 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Cayirova. Cayirova's coach Engin Gencoglu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TED Ankara moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Konya BBSK and Cayirova.
