Rather predictable result when eighth rankedMersin Secil (8-8) rolled over on the road 11th ranked Mersin G. (6-10) 99-66 on Friday. Mersin Secil dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin G. 's 26. They outrebounded Mersin G. 49-33 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mersin Secil looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Mersin G. 's players. The winners were led by American center Kurstyn Harden (190-2000, college: SF Austin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 15-of-16 shooting from the field) and Yagmur Yildiz (172-2000) supported her with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Mersin Secil players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by Ceylin Kurt did not help to save the game for Mersin G. . Liva Aksoy added 8 points and 6 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mersin Secil moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Urla and Emlak 2. Loser Mersin G. keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost.
