No shocking result in a game when third rankedCanakkale (13-3) crushed at home 14th ranked Yalova Vip (4-12) 76-53 on Saturday. Canakkale forced 21 Yalova Vip turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The winners were led by American center Mary Baskerville (190-2000, college: Quinnipiac) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Simge Tokmak (184-2003) supported her with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Senegalese swingman Yacine Diop (178-1995, college: Louisville) did not help to save the game for Yalova Vip . Guard Miray Sahin (168-1993) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Canakkale have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Turgutlu. Yalova Vip lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Cankaya.
