There was an upset in Istanbul where higher rankedBesiktas (8-4) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Manisa (3-9) 94-88 on Monday. Manisa shot 27 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Besiktas only scored eleven points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Saben Lee (188-1999, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists and South Sudanese-Australian center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-1994, college: Baylor) who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin-American point guard Derek Needham (180-1990, college: Fairfield) with 24 points and 7 assists and American forward Dustin Sleva (203-1995, college: Shippensburg) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Manisa moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Buyukcekmece. Loser Besiktas keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Pinar Karsiyaka.
