There was a surprise result when sixteenth rankedGaziantep (7-12) edged at home higher ranked TED Ankara (11-8) 87-84 on Sunday. It was a great evening for swingman Kaan Sariaslan (192-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-1991, college: Siena) helped adding 5 points and 17 rebounds. At the losing side Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Troy Franklin (183-1989, college: Coppin St.) scored 19 points. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Gaziantep moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Balikesir BBS. Loser TED Ankara keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Cayirova.
