Bottom-rankedAnka Spor (0-22) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 119-75 loss to sixteenth ranked Balikesir BBS (9-13) in Istanbul. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Anka Spor 's 40. They outrebounded Anka Spor 42-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. Balikesir BBS players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Anka Spor 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Mustafa Elgun (-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 assists for the winners. Four Balikesir BBS players scored in double figures. Erbey Paltaci (203-2004, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 20 points and forward Alex Koyun (205-2008, agency: BIG) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Anka Spor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Balikesir BBS moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Ormanspor and Cedi Osman. Anka Spor at the other side still closes the standings.
