There was an upset in Istanbul where higher rankedEmlak 2 (9-12) was defeated by twelfth ranked Edirne (8-13) 69-59 on Saturday. Edirne forced 20 Emlak 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Emlak 2 's players. American center Zakyia Weathersby (188-1998, college: UAB) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Kubra Boga (-1997) chipped in 10 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was point guard Ceren Akpinar (175-2005) with 24 points and 4 steals and forward Feray Laic (185-2005) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Emlak 2's coach Anil Aydin rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Edirne moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bursa U. Emlak 2 at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Urla and Mersin Secil.
