We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th rankedBursa U. (8-15) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Yalova Vip (8-15) 92-76 on Saturday. Yalova Vip outrebounded Bursa U. 46-23 including a 41-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Senegalese swingman Yacine Diop (178-1995, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Miray Sahin (168-1993) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Efsun Celik (-2001) produced 15 points and 6 assists and center Irem Sozen (186-1998) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Bursa U. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yalova Vip moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Cankaya and Bursa U.
