Not a big story in a game when 10th rankedUrla (9-15) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Canakkale (19-5) 80-61 on Friday. Canakkale dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Urla 's 26. Canakkale forced 20 Urla turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Mary Baskerville (190-2000, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Simge Tokmak (184-2003) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Canakkale players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Zeynep Kalbisagde (172-2000) with 22 points and Meliha Kiroglanoglu (-1999) scored 15 points. Canakkale have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Canakkale maintains second position with 19-5 record having five points less than leader Ferhatoglu. Urla lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Edirne and Yalova Vip.
