There was a small surprise when twelfth rankedYalova Vip (9-15) edged at home 10th ranked Edirne (9-15) 65-63 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Melike Bakircioglu (191-1987) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Rabia Celebi (167-1985) who added 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Yalova Vip's coach Cigdem Balcan allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Zakyia Weathersby (188-1998, college: UAB) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds and Canan Karsavran (-1992) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Edirne players scored in double figures. Yalova Vip moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Urla and Edirne.
