Very expected game in Istanbul where 16th rankedYalovaspor (5-18) was crushed by second ranked Besiktas (18-5) 103-82 on Friday. Strangely Yalovaspor outrebounded Besiktas 39-24 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin-American point guard Derek Needham (180-1990, college: Fairfield) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. American guard Kyle Allman (190-1997, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. American center Jaylen Johnson (206-1996, college: Louisville, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Besiktas . They maintain second place with 18-5 record having four points less than leader Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Yalovaspor stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost.
