Ankaragucu made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Forward CJ Elleby (198-2000, college: WSU) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Ankaragucu players scored in double figures. Ankaragucu's coach Hakan Koktas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Khalid Thomas (208-1999, college: Portland St.) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard New Williams (185-1996, college: Fresno St.) added 9 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Konya BBSK.
