There was no surprise in Balikesir where 10th rankedBurhaniye (5-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Turgutlu (9-5) 74-64 on Saturday. Turgutlu had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Turgutlu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. It was a great evening for American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-1996, college: California, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import forward Kennedi Jackson (190-2001, college: Charleston So.) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Turgutlu players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Eylul Minez (185-1999) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Grace Efosa-Aguebor (180-2002, college: Providence, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points. Burhaniye's coach Mustafa Secerlioglu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Turgutlu . They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fenerbahce G. Burhaniye lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Adana and Darica.
