This time Galatasaray used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Istanbul 74-71 on Sunday night. Galatasaray forced 21 Besiktas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Yusuf Ersoy (-2008) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Center Alperen Duruksu (204-2007) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Erkin Kas (201-2008) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Yigit Toka (-2007) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Besiktas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Galatasaray . They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Mersin Spor. Loser Besiktas dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Bursaspor.
