Top rankedSambir (18-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked K.Sokoly (17-3) 68-56 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sambir. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 40-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. K.Sokoly dominated on the defensive end, holding Sambir to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 19 Sambir turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Illia Shavharov (181-2000) who scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-1997, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. K.Sokoly have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-3 record behind leader Sambir. Sambir at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost.
