The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th rankedNiko Basket 2 's (6-10) road loss to fourth ranked Sambir (8-6) 78-84 on Sunday. Niko Basket 2 was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 24-9 charge of Sambir, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Niko Basket 2 outrebounded Sambir 45-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Nigerian center Oleksii Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Nikita Ruslov (195-1996, agency: BIG) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Five Sambir players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Vitaliy Volodin (198-2004) who recorded a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and guard Mykyta Goriachiy (193-2000) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Sambir maintains fourth position with 8-6 record. Newly promoted Niko Basket 2 keeps the fifth place with ten games lost.
