There was no surprise in Lviv where 9th rankedPoltava (1-12) was crushed by fifth ranked KIVS SBK (5-8) 59-28 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by KIVS SBK. Poltava managed to win second period 12-9 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KIVS SBK dominated on the defensive end, holding Poltava to just 3 points in fourth quarter and to 10 points in second half. KIVS SBK held Poltava to an opponent 16.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.4 percent accuracy of the winners. KIVS SBK forced 26 Poltava turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KIVS SBK made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Khrystyna Bobanych (169) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Anzhelika Kostiv (168-2007) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals during the contest. KIVS SBK's coach Irina Klenina felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Anna Cherep (166-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and Anna Grechka (-2009) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. KIVS SBK maintains fifth position with 5-8 record. Poltava lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost.
