LPB top team - Marinos (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat eighth ranked Panteras (1-3) in Caracas 77-67. The game was mostly controlled by Marinos. Panteras managed to win third quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Panteras to just 7 points in second quarter. Marinos had a 29-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) fired 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Jose Vargas (195-82, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Four Marinos players scored in double figures.
