Finals Game 5: Marinos - Guaros 91-80

Marinos stayed alive in the championship series. They edged Guaros to narrow the deficit at 2-3. Marinos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Guaros' 38. They outrebounded Guaros 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Marinos looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Guaros' players. American power forward Christophe Massie (206-77, college: Memphis) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international Michael Carrera (196-93, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Marinos players scored in double figures. American point guard Nate Robinson (175-84, college: Washington) responded with 23 points and the other American import Lazar Hayward (198-86, college: Marquette) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
