The most interesting game of round 8 was a derby match between two teams from Slovenia. Second rankedMaribor won against visiting Jezica (6-5) 79-68 . Maribor shot 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Jezica only scored ten points from the stripe. Maribor forced 26 Jezica turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by Jezica helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aneja Stojko (167-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Nylah Young (180-2001, college: William & Mary, agency: LBM Management) who added 21 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Nina Klep (168-2007) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tina Tomsic (175-2004) scored 17 points and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maribor maintains second position with 9-2 record behind leader Ilrija. Jezica at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost.
