Regular Season Round 9: Partizan - Orlovi 104-40

Bottom-ranked BosnianOrlovi is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to second ranked Serbian Partizan (6-2) 104-40 . The game without a history. Partizan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Orlovi to just 6 points in first quarter. Partizan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Orlovi 's 14. Partizan forced 26 Orlovi turnovers and outrebounded them 33-16 including 20 on the defensive glass. Partizan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Ana Peric stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Sara Vasiljevic chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. Partizan's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Croatian-Bosnian forward Ivona Krakic (188-1999, college: Georgian Court, agency: Olsta) with 13 points and Serbian-Turkish swingman Mia Draskicevic (182-2002) scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. Partizan maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader Montana. Defending Bosnian champion Orlovi still closes the standings with seven games lost. Partizan will play against Celje (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Orlovi will play against Zagreb (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
