Regular Season Round 13: Partizan - Montana 59-46

There was a change at the WABA leadership position after last games. Round 13 most important game was a defeat of league's leader BulgarianMontana (8-3). They were defeated by fourth ranked Serbian Partizan (8-4) 59-46 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 43-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Partizan forced 19 Montana turnovers and outrebounded them 45-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Partizan made 8 blocks. Slovenian point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) stepped up and scored 12 points and 5 assists for the winners and Brazilian center Izabel Varejao (193-1999, college: Syracuse) chipped in 6 points and 12 rebounds. Partizan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Finnish guard Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (174-1991, agency: LBM Management) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Venezuelan Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-1995, college: Okla City) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Partizan moved-up to third place. Montana at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Buducnost.
