Lithuanian undefeated leaderKibirkstis-MRU delivered the tenth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Latvian RSU (1-8) 95-59 in Riga. Kibirkstis-MRU dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to RSU 's 18 and had 24 for 35 from the free-throw line, while RSU only scored eight points from the stripe. Kibirkstis-MRU forced 22 RSU turnovers and outrebounded them 42-21 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kibirkstis-MRU looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for forward Egle Zabotkaite (183-2000) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Giedre Labuckiene (192-1990) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kibirkstis-MRU players scored in double figures. Forward Paula Cirsa (176-2003) responded with 20 points and Estonian forward Annija Brence (179-2006) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Kibirkstis-MRU have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending Lithuanian champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Loser RSU keeps the seventh position with eight games lost.
