The most exciting game of round 14 in the WBBL took place in Liepaja. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked LatvianLiepaja/LSSS (1-11) to fifth ranked Lithuanian Siauliai (4-8) 84-82 on Wednesday evening. Latvian guard Sabine Lipe (175-1999, college: UTEP) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Latvian guard Madara Smite (170-2006) produced 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and Estonian swingman Estere Petrus (174-2006) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Liepaja/LSSS players scored in double figures. Liepaja/LSSS's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Siauliai went down to sixth position due to points difference. Liepaja/LSSS lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost.
