Regular Season Round 14: Siauliai - TSA Tallinn 66-80

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Estonian TSA Tallinn (4-7) defeated on the road 5th ranked Lithuanian Siauliai (4-8) 80-66. TSA Tallinn made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Siauliai turnovers. Strangely Siauliai outrebounded TSA Tallinn 42-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. Point guard Katlin Kangur (170-2006) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Sofia Kosareva (170-1998) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five TSA Tallinn players scored in double figures. Point guard Agne Cerneckyte (173-1996) replied with 19 points and 5 assists and Latvian guard Sabine Lipe (175-1999, college: UTEP) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Siauliai. TSA Tallinn moved-up to fifth place. Siauliai at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. TSA Tallinn will play against Liepaja/LSSS (#8) at home in the next round. Siauliai will play against TTT Riga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
