Comments ’1999:
Parker burst into the scene like a whiff of fresh air for Sta. Lucia. The high-
leaping Fil-Am could electrify the crowd with his three-pointers from downtown or his thunderous slams. In tandem with import Kwan Johnson, he almost led the Realtors to a first-ever finals stint. However, there are always two sides to a coin. Parker, crowned 1999 Slam Dunk King, gets easily carried away by his intensity. He openly blames teammates for their mistakes and even engages soft-spoken Sta. Lucia mentor Adonis Tierra in a shouting match in front of the spectators. Hisd attitude and his trash-talking has also rubbed opponents the wrong way. The talent is definitely there. Now if there is just anyone out there who rein him in.
