Regular Season Round 12: Cherno More - Balkan 67-88

NBL top team - Balkan (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Cherno More (4-8) in Varna 88-67. Balkan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for Serbian point guard Marko Radonjic (190-93) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard Daishon Knight (185-91, college: Illinois St., agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian guard Koca Jovovic (187-93) replied with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Sim Iliev (204-89, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cherno More. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Balkan have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record, which they share with Levski Lukoil. Cherno More at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Balkan is looking forward to face Rilski (#4) in Samokov in the next round. Cherno More will play on the road against Yambol and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
