Albanian Superliga round 2 best performance: Bernada Rreshpja (by Hoops Agents)

Bernada Rreshpja (2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Vllaznia, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (35 points, six rebounds and five assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Berleti (#7, 0-2) with 69-point margin 88-19. Vllaznia maintains the 2nd position in Albanian Superliga. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Vllaznia won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Rreshpja had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Vllaznia's top player in her first season with the team. Bernada Rreshpja has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.5ppg. Rreshpja is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 6.5spg and 70.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Vllaznia's star - young international forward Ingrit Dashja (178-F-1993). Dashja had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Rreshpja she helped Vllaznia with another comfortable win outscoring Berleti (0-2) 88-19. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Dashja is one of the most experienced players at Vllaznia and similarly like Bernada Rreshpja has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Ornela Lalaj (173-PG-1994) of Partizani (#3). Lalaj scored 23 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Lalaj's great performance Partizani lost 87-90 to #4 ranked Tirana. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Partizani needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Lalaj has a great season in Albania. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (4th best).
