Henderson's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

American Center Asia Henderson (190-C) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Flamurtari Vlore and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while her team outclassed Vllaznia (#4, 5-4) with 29-point margin 67-38. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamurtari to consolidate first place in the Albanian Superliga. Flamurtari has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. Henderson turned to be Flamurtari's top player in her first season with the team. University of North Carolina Wilmington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Henderson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.7rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 63.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Selena Kirberg (178-G-1995). She is Romanian guard in her first season at Flamurtari. In the last game Kirberg recorded impressive 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Henderson she helped Flamurtari Vlore with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Vllaznia (#4, 5-4) 67-38. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Flamurtari consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 9-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Kirberg is a newcomer at Flamurtari and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Aida Palko (176-G-1984) of SK Tirana (#3). Palko scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. She was a key player of Tirana, leading her team to a 89-61 easy win against the lower-ranked Studenti (#6, 3-7). Tirana is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Palko has a great season in Albania. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.1ppg (8th best).
