McElrath's 39-point game gives her Player of the Week award

American Guard Dy'mond McElrath (157-G) had a great game in the last round for KB Teuta and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
She had the game-high 39 points adding seven rebounds and nine assists for Teuta in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Elbasani (#7, 3-17) with 54-point margin 101-47. Teuta maintains the 6th position in Albanian Superliga. Teuta is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-13 record. In the team's last game McElrath had a remarkable 76.5% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. McPherson College graduate has very impressive stats this year. McElrath is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.2apg).

Second best performed player last round was Xhulia Velias (177-F/G-1998). She is international swingman in her first season at Teuta. In the last game Velias recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Of course together with McElrath she helped KB Teuta with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Elbasani (#7, 3-17) 101-47. Teuta's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Velias is a newcomer at Teuta and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Asia Henderson (190-C) of league's leader Flamurtari Vlore. Henderson scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Flamurtari, leading her team to a 71-63 win against #3 ranked Partizani in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Flamurtari as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 19 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Henderson has a great season in Albania. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (#1 in league). She also has 1.9bpg and a FGP of 62.1%.
