Henderson's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American center Asia Henderson (190-C-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Flamurtari Vlore and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Tirana (#2, 1-1) 60-54. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamurtari to consolidate first place in the Albanian Superliga. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Flamurtari won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Henderson has many years of experience at Flamurtari, through which she has constantly improved. University of North Carolina Wilmington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Henderson is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 81.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Bernada Rreshpja (180-F-2001) of Vllaznia Shkodra. She is international forward in her first season at Vllaznia. In the last game Rreshpja recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Vllaznia lost that game 63-79 to Partizani (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Rreshpja is a newcomer at Vllaznia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#1). She also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Vllaznia's star - forward Ingrit Dashja (178-F-1993). Dashja showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Dashja's great performance the Vllaznia Shkodra lost 63-79 to Partizani (#4, 1-1). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The season just started for Dashja as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
