Albanian Superliga round 18 best performance: Laila Fair (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Laila Fair (188-F) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Flamurtari Vlore, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The player had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Partizani (#3, 8-8) with 23-point margin 87-64. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamurtari to consolidate first place in the Albanian Superliga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Flamurtari keeps a perfect 17-0 record. In the team's last game Fair had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Former Morgan State University star has very solid stats this year. Fair is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 53.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Bernada Rreshpja (180-F-2001) of Vllaznia Shkodra. Rreshpja had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Vllaznia lost that game 60-66 to slightly higher-ranked Studenti (#4, 3-12). Vllaznia are still at the very bottom. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Vllaznia managed to get this year. Rreshpja is a newcomer at Vllaznia, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 3.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Marina Pellumbi (168-SG-2002) of Studenti Tirana (#4). Pellumbi showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Studenti, leading her team to a 66-60 win against slightly lower-ranked Vllaznia (#5, 2-14). Studenti can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Pellumbi has individually a great season in Albania. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.5ppg (9th best) and assists with 3.9apg (7th best). She also has 2.2spg and a FGP of 52.7%.
