Dynnah Buckner claims Alpe-Adria-Cup weekly honour

American Dynnah Buckner (173-G-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Kosarkaska Akademija Zana Lelas Split and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 27 points adding four rebounds and three assists for KAZL Split in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Maribor (#4, 0-4) with 26-point margin 94-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. KAZL Split maintains the 2nd position in Alpe-Adria-Cup . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. KAZL Split will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Buckner had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be KAZL Split's top player in her first season with the team. California State University San Marcos graduate has very impressive stats this year. Buckner is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.0ppg), assists (5th best: 3.7apg) and averages solid 51.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Serbian shooting guard Snezana Bogicevic (183-SG-1997) of league's best team Slavia Banska Bystrica. Bogicevic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she led Slavia to another comfortable win outscoring BK Duchess (1-3) 100-39. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Bogicevic is a newcomer at Slavia and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Viktorija Curic (185-F-2001) of ZKK Tresnjevka 2009 Zagreb (#4). Curic scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Curic's great performance Tresnjevka lost 67-73 to #3 ranked St.Poelten. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Tresnjevka can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Curic has a very solid season. In 3 games in Alpe-Adria-Cup she scored 11.3ppg.
