German Martha Pietsch (165-G-2003, agency: Ladies 1st) put on an amazing game in the last round for Raiffeisen Duchess Klosterneuburg and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding two rebounds and seven assists for BK Duchess in her team's victory, helping them to beat UBI Graz (5-2) 77-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. BK Duchess is placed at 3rd position in Austrian BDSL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. BK Duchess will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Pietsch had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. She turned to be BK Duchess' top player in her first season with the team. University of California Santa Barbara graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pietsch is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.4ppg. Pietsch is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.1apg) and averages solid 55.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Sigrid Koizar (172-G-1995) of Vienna D.C. Timberwolves. Koizar impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Timberwolves cruised to a 88-77 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Linz (#6, 2-5). This victory allowed Timberwolves to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Koizar is a newcomer at Timberwolves and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Italian Francesca Bucchieri (183-F-2003) of UBSC-DBBC Graz (#7). Bucchieri scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Bucchieri's great performance the DBBC Graz lost 56-87 to the higher-ranked Basket Flames (#4, 5-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. DBBC Graz can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bucchieri has a very solid season. In 7 games in Austria she scored 12.1ppg. She also has 7.0rpg and 2.7spg.

4. Laetitia Schumacher (175-F/G-2004) of Basket Flames - 13 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
