Gala became the Azerbaijan National League champions. They cruised past Sheki 84:47 in the final round of the championship to secure the top position finish. Gala gained 12 points which proved just enough for the title. Jalilabad claimed the second position in the tournament. They wrapped up their campaign with a 61:42 win over Gyandzha.

Gala clinched the Novruz Cup title. The Azeri powerhouse dominated throughout the tournament. They handed back-to-back defeats to Uzbekistan selection. Gala also overcame CSKA from Kazakhstan for another victory. Zaur Gushanov (187-PG-87) topscored with 23 points in this game. Gala was tested by Kyrgyzstan team in the final round of action. The teams went neck and neck throughout the entire regulation. But Gala managed to eke out a 74:71 victory at the end and celebrated the title.
