Jones' 28 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old guard Curtis Jones (195-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for Bashkimi and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 28 points adding eight rebounds for Bashkimi in his team's victory, helping them to beat Beroe (#4, 3-4) 89-80. Bashkimi maintains the 5th position in Balkan League . Bashkimi is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Bashkimi's top player in his first season with the team. The Pennsylvania State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.0ppg) and averages solid 55.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Samardo Samuels (206-F/C-1989). He is Jamaican forward in his first season at Bashkimi. In the last game Samuels recorded impressive 23 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Bashkimi to edge slightly lower-ranked Levski (#6, 1-6) by 5 points 84-79. Bashkimi's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Samuels is a newcomer at Bashkimi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kelsey Barlow (196-G-1991) of Beroe (#4). Barlow showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. Despite Barlow's great performance Beroe lost 80-89 to slightly lower-ranked Bashkimi (#5, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Beroe ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Barlow could help Beroe to bring them higher in the standings. Barlow has a very solid season. In 2 games in Balkan League he scored 16.5ppg.
