Bashkimi - Peja 88-120 The most interesting game of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Kosovo. The game took place in Prizren where second ranked Peja outleveled host Bashkimi (2-5) 120-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bashkimi. Peja shot 61.0 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American Jalen Tate (198-1998, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 steals. Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-1990, college: Oregon) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Peja's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-1989, college: Louisville) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Altin Morina (192-1992) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Peja have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader H.Be'er Sheva. Bashkimi at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Peja are looking forward to face Levski (#6) in Sofia in the next round. Bashkimi will play at home against Beroe and it may be a tough game between close rivals. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Peja. Hapoel Beer Sheva made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import Greg Whittington (203-1993, college: Georgetown) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-1990, college: Oregon) came up with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American Jalen Tate (198-1998, college: Arkansas) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Peja in the defeat.
