The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked BC Odessa's (7-17) road victory over bottom-ranked BC Kyiv (6-20) 74-68. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But BC Kyiv won third quarter 25-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BC Kyiv 41-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. BC Kyiv was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. BC Odessa's coach Oleg Yushkin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for BC Kyiv in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Odessa maintains thirteenth place with 7-17 record. BC Kyiv at the other side stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. BC Odessa will play against higher ranked Dnipro (#12) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kyiv will have a break next round.
