Regular Season Round 16: Ferro-ZNTU - Dnipro 82-59

Date: January 15, 2014
No shocking result in a game in Zaporozhye where fourth ranked Ferro-ZNTU (11-5) outleveled bottom-ranked Dnipro (2-16) 82-59 on Wednesday. Ferro-ZNTU looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Alexander Rybalko (190-79) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Ferro-ZNTU players scored in double figures. At the losing side international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Olexandr Misyats (200-92) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferro-ZNTU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with BC Odessa. Dnipro lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Ferro-ZNTU will face Halychyna (#8) in Lviv in the next round where they are favorite.
