An interesting game took place in Buyukcekmece where higher ranked Gelism (12-11) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (10-13) 87-72 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Buyukcekmece led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Buyukcekmece outrebounded Gelism 38-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Erdem Turetken (199-79) helped adding 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. Forward Arif Erhan Kocamis (196-86) responded with 17 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Sertay Gursu (195-87) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Buyukcekmece moved-up to thirteenth place. Gelism lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Buyukcekmece will face league's second-placed Yesilgiresun in Giresun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
